Vela®
Avalanche protection devices
A Vela device can be quickly and easily set up, thanks to its multi-purpose components, which can each be positioned individually, by means of their unique anchoring system and adaptability to the terrain. These components can be easily transported at altitude, even fully assembled, and shackled to the anchoring point.
Use
Standard Vela avalanche protection systems have been designed to be used as follows:
- Height above sea level: 3000 m.
- Slope angle: 40°.
- Slip factor: 2,4.
