PT-200
Control & lightness
Unlike other prime movers with similar dimensions, the PT-200 can work well even on difficult terrain, due to its BERCO oscillating undercarriage which adapts perfectly to uneven surfaces. According to the customers’ needs, the track can be fitted with two types of single grouser shoes with two different widths: 510 mm for the STD (Standard) version and 700 mm for the LGP (Low Ground Pressure) version.
Both widths guarantee excellent vehicle stability and extremely low ground pressure ranging from 0,34 Kg/cm? for the narrower track, to 0,25 Kg/cm? for the wider track, allowing PT-200 to work well even in swampy places where other machines would not be able to go.
The advantage of compact dimensions
Due to its compact dimensions, the PT-200 offers another important advantage over less manageable prime movers crawlers with identical performances: the advantage of being easily transported when travelling from one construction site to another or on long distance journeys.
Comfort & Design
The smart “made in Italy” appearance together with innovative solutions and careful attention to details –perfectly in line with the PrimeTech style– are evident in the spacious cab with wide visibility and built to ROPS/FOPS standards, the easily viewed instrument panel, and easy to reach ergonomically arranged controls.
Productivity, great performance, reliability, comfort and safety, in addition to low maintenance costs, fuel efficiency and reduced ground pressure are reasons for choosing the PT-200.
Diesel engine
The John Deere 6068 HF485 6.8 L, turbocharged and after-cooled engine, with 6 in-line cylinders and 180 HP, is fuel efficient and complies with Euromot/3 and Tier/3 emissions standards.
Hydraulic transmission
The powerful Sauer Danfoss hydraulic system consists of two 75 cc pumps coupled to motors with proportional displacement of 80 cc (for track transmission) and a 130 cc pump, coupled to a motor with proportional displacement of 160 cc (for mulcher transmission).
Compared to a mechanical transmission, the hydraulic transmission ensures a larger lifting range for the front attachment and lower vibrations of the machine.
These advantages translate into a greater operating flexibility and less wear and tear on the major parts of the vehicle.
Cabin
The PT-200 spacious cab with wide visibility is built to ROPS/FOPS standards.
The heated and adjustable driver’s seat (optional) as well as the functionality and ease of use of controls and displays help to make the PT-200 a comfortable and easy-to-use vehicle.
The level of vibrations felt when the machine is working is extremely low and the sound insulation is one of the best in the market (only 78 dB heard with the mulcher at work!)
Safety
Every detail of our prime mover was conceived to enable one to work in complete safety, by drawing advantage from cutting-edge technologies in order to prevent accidents or malfunctions and to protect the operator.
The PT-200 is equipped with:
Front attachments
Great application flexibility in any operating condition is ensured by the possibility of fitting different front attachments with various tool profiles on PT-200 and PT-300.
All front attachments, made by FAE, are designed to meet our customers’ specific requirements of.
The rotor is designed so that only one tooth at a time is grinding or milling, enabling a smoother and more regular operation making its work more effective than if carried out with the teeth all in a straight line, resulting in fewer vibrations and less wear and tear on the components.
The PT-200 front attachment made by FAE, provides high quality operations and reliability. According to the various requirements and specific working conditions, two types of front attachments with different measurements can be fitted; the overall width of the equipment can be of 175 cm or of 235 cm, for a working width of 140 cm or 200 cm.
Each head features a Sauer Danfoss 160 cc motor. The rotor has a diameter of 50 cm whilst the grinding diameter reaches 30 cm (PER IL PT-200 e 300 MM!! .
Depending on the conditions of the ground on which the work must be carried out and with no need to change the rotor, the FAE 200/U forestry mulcher can be equipped with C-type teeth (for medium/ heavy duty jobs in regular conditions), VIPER type teeth (equipped with a very sharp blade - particularly useful for grinding trees and shrubs with rather hard and compact grains) or STCL type teeth (ideal for mulching in rocky areas).
Options
A series of options can integrate the standard equipment for the PT-200 to adapt to specific working conditions:
