PT-300
Lowest ground pressure
The PT-300 is a new generation of prime mover which fears no competition. It is designed to ensure the lowest possible ground pressure at 0.21 Kg/ cm² and can withstand the rough unevenness of the ground with ease and great precision.
The oscillating undercarriage adapts itself perfectly to uneven surfaces, thus facilitating driving and reducing the stress on the main frame. The low centre of gravity and its ideal weight distribution enable it to climb steep slopes of up to 100%.
These important structural characteristics enable the machine to minimize vibrations to the components with a positive incidence on routine maintenance and operation costs.
The advantage of compact dimensions
Due to its compact dimensions, the PT-300 offers another important advantage over less manageable prime movers with identical performances: the advantage of being easily transported when travelling from one construction site to another or on long distance journeys.
Diesel engine
The heart of the PT-300 is a John Deere 6.8 l engine 6068 HF 485, turbocharged and after-cooled, with 6 in-line cylinders and 275 HP, complying with Euromot/3 e Tier/3 emission standards; a compact and extremely fuel efficient engine.
Hydraulic transmission
The powerful Sauer Danfoss hydraulic system consists of two 75 cc pumps, coupled to motors with proportional displacement of 80 cc (for track transmission) and a 130 cc pump, coupled to two motors with proportional displacement of 110 cc (for mulcher transmission).
Compared to a mechanical transmission, the hydraulic transmission ensures a larger lifting range for the front attachment and fewer vibrations on the machine.
These advantages equal greater operating flexibility and less wear and tear on the major parts of the vehicle.
Cabin
The PT-300 spacious cab with wide visibility is built to ROPS/FOPS standards.
The heated and adjustable driver’s seat (optional) as well as the functionality and ease of use of controls and displays help make the PT-300 a comfortable, easy-to-use vehicle.
The level of vibrations felt when the machine is working is extremely low and the sound insulation is one of the best on the market (only 78 dB felt with the mulcher at work!).
Safety
Every detail of our prime mover was conceived to enable one to work in complete safety by drawing advantages from cutting-edge technologies in order to prevent accidents or malfunctions, and to protect the operator.
The PT-300 is equipped with:
Front attachments
Great application flexibility in any operating condition is ensured by the possibility of fitting different front attachments with various tool profiles. All front attachments, made by FAE, are designed to meet our customers’ specific requirements of.
The rotor is designed so that only one tooth at a time is grinding or milling, enabling a smoother and more regular operation making its work more effective than if carried out with the teeth all in a straight line, resulting in fewer vibrations and less wear and tear on the components.
The PT-300 can be coupled with the FAE 200/U forestry mulcher with double transmission, suitable for medium to heavy-duty forestry applications and available in two models with two different working widths: 206 cm for the 200/U-200 model and 230 cm for the 200/U-225 model.
They feature 2 Sauer Danfoss 110 cc engines. The rotor has a diameter of 50 cm whilst the grinding diameter reaches 35 cm.
Depending on the conditions of the ground on which the work must be carried out and with no need to change the rotor, the 200/U forestry mulcher can be equipped with C-type teeth (for medium to heavy duty jobs in regular conditions), VIPER type teeth (equipped with a very sharp blade - particularly useful for grinding trees and shrubs with rather hard and compact grains) or STCL type teeth (ideal for mulching in rocky areas).
Options
A series of options can integrate the standard equipment for the PT-200 to adapt to specific working conditions:
