Aebi Schmidt Airport

Airport maintenance

Schmid CJS

  • Performance meets design - that's the CJS, which not only impresses with its fresh and straightforward design, but also offers unsurpassed performance, latest motor technology and easy maintenance. The CJS is ideal for snow clearance on runways, taxi-ways and aprons. Thanks to its compact design, it is particularly manoeuvrable and reliably clears the snow using a snow plough, sweeper roller and high-pressure blower in clearing widths of up to 4200 mm.

Schmidt TJS / TJS-C

  • The powerful TJS and TJS-C jet sweepers quickly and efficiently clear snow from airport runways, taxiways and aprons. They are characterised by a large clearing width, high working speed and good manoeuvrability. Logical and intuitive menu navigation and automatically controlled processes help support drivers by ensuring that concentration remains focused on the clearing operation. The jet sweepers are available as towed machines (TJS) or as compact units (TJS-C).

Schmidt CJS-DI

  • The CJS-DI is a compact sweeper/blower unit with an additional mounted spreader, sprayer or de-icer. A snow plough is mounted at the front, while the sweeping unit and high-performance blowing nozzle are located between the axles and the de-icer at the rear. The CJS-DI is a multi-functional machine that reliably clears aircraft stands, taxi-ways, runways and aprons. It is mounted on a standard truck chassis for maximum manoeuvrability.

Schmidt ASP Airport Sprayer

  • The ASP Airport Sprayer is a high quality spraying machine that ensures a fast, exact and precise application of de-icing agents. The ASP can be used for both preventive and curative de-icing on runways, taxiways and aprons, and offers a maximum working width of 40m. The ASP is designed for mounting on trucks as well as for fixed or swap bodies - its modular design ensures easy adaptation to any customer-specific carrier vehicle.

Schmidt ACE

  • The ACE is an airport combination machine for de-icing runways, taxi-ways and aprons and is available in four different versions to meet differing needs. With the ACE range, solid and liquid spreading materials can be applied separately or combined in a single operation, and it is designed for mounting on large carrier vehicles and semi-trailers.

Schmidt Tarron MS Airport

  • The MS snow ploughs are multi-blade special snow ploughs with optional high or low blade heights and based on the successful Tarron series. The MS series is specially designed for fast and highly efficient snow clearance on airport runways, taxiways and aprons. With their innovative override system, they easily avoid ground obstacles such as concrete elevations or ground lamps during operation.

Schmidt Tellefsdal D70

  • The PMB 2400 is a permanent magnetic beam for cleaning runways, taxiways and aprons at airports. The PMB 2400 reliably picks up any magnetisable ferrous parts - typically nails, screws, nuts, bolts and cotter pins - for residue-free FOD removal. The PMB 2400 is designed for front-mounting on medium and large carrier vehicles and fits very well with the AS 990 airport sweeper.

Schmidt AS 990 / ASC 990

  • Safety at the airport is top priority. The high-speed AS 990 sweeper cleans all service and traffic areas of the airport with outstanding sweeping efficiency, so that follow-up damage caused by FOD (foreign objects debris) is prevented. The AS 990 clears solid materials like leaves, dirt and debris, as well as liquids such as de-icing agents and surface water. The permanent PMB 2400 magnetic bar, which is attached to the front panel of the AS 990, can be used to pick up any magnetic metals.

Schmidt AS660

  • The AS 660 is an extremely powerful and efficient truck-mounted sweeper that is specially designed and perfectly matched to meet the needs of airports. With its rear suction unit and high suction power extending across the entire width of the vehicle, the AS 660 removes FOD (Foreign Objects Debris), leaves and dirt, plus liquids such as glycol or water, easily from the runway. Its operation is fully integrated into the super efficient and highly acclaimed ES control panel, enabling easy and straightforward control whilst driving.

Autonomous Operations

Autonomous Operations at the Airport: The Future Has Already Arrived Today

Autonomous operations at the airport not only save money. While autonomous systems increase efficiency, safety, occupational health and flexibility, they also lead to a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions. Our solution is not off-the-shelf, it can be tailored to the specific conditions at the individual airport. And because it allows to integrate not only our own vehicles and machines but also those of other brands, the investment risk is low. But the best thing is that the systems have been intensively tested and are already available today.
